So, I'm feeling bored

Let me elaborate. Currently Im in an empty hole in my life, literally. I finished highschool last june, and uni doesn't start until september 2007. So...

So I'm trying to prepare for uni. I'm going to study Image and Media Technology, which basically is graphical design utilizing the PC as medium. Image manipulation, commercials, animations, leaders, headers, trailers, etc. for use in the media and entertainment. So to prepare (strict selection procedure for the course) I want to get as much experience in the area as I can. Part of that is this page. Seeing all the art around here motivates me to produce my own, and inspires me.

The disadvantage though is that basically, I have a year off. I don't have a goal or an assignment, I'm just 'preparing'. I find it hard to actually say to myself 'Now you're going outside to take pictures' or 'Now you're gonna (turn off WoW and xD) sit down and play around with PS some'. But I'm getting there.

I've found a great motivation through the contests here, when I was reading about the Renaissance one. I'm figuring I'll just start participating (even if it's not entering any pieces) in them, cause it handily gives me a goal and a certain assignment to work from
